SoCal Corgi Beach Day (also known as Corgi Con) is one of Huntington Beach’s most delightfully sunny traditions — a joyful takeover of sand, surf, and smiling pups in the heart of Surf City USA.
Set on the iconic Huntington Beach shoreline, it’s a photo-friendly, family-friendly scene where corgis and corgi fans gather for a day that’s equal parts beach party and community celebration, with nonstop wagging tails and good vibes. (And all other dogs attending are "honorary corgis" for the day!)
On Saturday, April 4, 2026, the fun returns to Huntington Beach from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., right on the beach about two blocks south of the Huntington Beach Pier.
It’s an easy match with everything that makes Huntington Beach special — classic pier views, wide-open beaches, and that laid-back surf-town energy that turns a simple outing into a true California day.
The event itself has grown into an impressive, feel-good festival over the years, expanding to include vendors, merchandise, contests, activities, and food trucks.
Today it’s a full-scale celebration featuring thousands of corgis, more than 45 vendors, a main arena zone with corgi-centric contests and activities running all day long, and more than 10 food trucks to keep everyone fueled.
SoCal Corgi Beach Day will take place at Huntington City Beach. Just down PCH from Huntington Dog Beach, the new location will be 2 blocks south of the iconic Huntington Beach Pier across from Pacific City, Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa, The Waterfront Beach Resort, a Hilton Hotel, and Paséa Hotel & Spa. The huge stretch of beach just for Corgi Beach Day means more vendors and food trucks, and walking distance to hotels, shopping, and dining.
The City Beach parking lot has more than 3,000 parking spots! See here for more information on Huntington City Beach parking rates.
Come for the day, weekend or week, how fun to see Corgis and their people all walking around Surf City USA!
